Dr. Steve Meyers, MD is a fellowship-trained Sports Medicine physician who has focused since 2007 on non-surgical, regenerative treatments for orthopedic and sports injuries. Practicing at the Bone & Joint Clinic in Fort Worth since 2003, he treats conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, and ankle/foot, including arthritis, meniscus tears, tendon injuries, ligament instability, joint degeneration, and sports-related trauma (excluding neck and spine conditions).
Since 2014, Dr. Meyers has performed over 1,700 stem cell procedures, including more than 285 knee meniscus tear treatments, along with regenerative biologic injections directly into bone for more than 250 patients. His practice offers adipose-derived Stem Cell Therapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections designed to stimulate the body's natural healing response, reduce chronic inflammation, improve joint function, and help patients avoid or delay surgery. Shockwave therapy is also used to stimulate blood flow and regenerative capability in persistent tendon injuries.
Dr. Meyers uses musculoskeletal ultrasound to visualize tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints in real time, enabling precise, image-guided regenerative injections. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, an MD from UT Medical School at Houston, completed residency at Baylor College of Medicine, and a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
