Guides are researched and written by hand from published clinical sources. Every factual claim about a treatment carries a citation, listed in full at the bottom of the article with its source hostname visible so you can see where it came from before you click.
We do not publish a guide about a specific procedure without sources. That is enforced by the publishing tool, not by good intentions: an article tagged to a procedure cannot be published with an empty source list.
Guides are not medical advice, and they are not a substitute for talking to a clinician. They exist so that you can ask a provider better questions.
