Every listing is checked against the CMS National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (NPPES), the federal registry every billing healthcare provider in the US holds an NPI in. 148 of 273 listings matched: 126 on a named clinician's own record and 18 on the practice's organization record. The remaining 125 did not match, which most often means the clinic's website names no clinician, or names one whose record could not be matched unambiguously (a common name, or a practitioner type that is not in NPPES).
A match confirms identity and registration. It is not a licence check, not a board certification check, and not a judgement of quality of care. PRP Atlas never shows a match it did not make, and no listing can buy one — see the editorial policy.
